From First Dates to Family Traditions
A longtime Southern California guest shares how SusieCakes became part of her love story, wedding memories, gender reveals, anniversaries, and her children’s birthdays.

Back in 2006, I met a new boyfriend who lived in Brentwood, and we'd often walk around the corner to this cute new bakery for slices of cake and whoopie pies.
I ended up marrying that guy. We had a Marble Cake for our wedding rehearsal, and we still get a slice every year to celebrate our anniversary. Later, we moved to Manhattan Beach, excited to still have a SusieCakes around the corner. I used Susie blue and pink cupcakes to let dad know the genders of both of our kids. Our kids have only ever had SusieCakes birthday cakes, including the famous Barbie Cake this year.
