How do I store my SusieCakes cupcakes overnight?

Please wrap the entire box in plastic wrap and keep at room temperature (Do NOT refrigerate).

How long will my cupcakes last?

Because we bake without preservatives, we suggest enjoying your cupcakes the day they are purchased or the following day (stored overnight at room temperature).

How many people does a SusieCakes cake serve?

This will depend on how you slice it but please refer to our guide below!

  • 6” round – 6-12
  • 9” round – 12-20
  • Quarter sheet – 20-30

How Do I store my cake from SusieCakes overnight?

Buttercream cakes can be stored at room temperature. Cream cheese cakes should be refrigerated until four hours prior to serving.

How long will my cake last?

All specialty cakes have a 3-4 day shelf life, whipped cream cakes have 2-3.

How do I care for my shipped cake from SusieCakes?

Product Specific Questions

Are SusieCakes products gluten-free?

We have 5 items made without flour: our vanilla pudding, flourless peanut butter cookie, Susie’s nutty, Susie's Vanilla Cake (made without gluten) & flourless chocolate cupcakes. Many of these items are seasonal. There is gluten present in the bakery and other products, and we do share equipment among all products.

Are any SusieCakes products dairy-free?

Not at this time.

Do SusieCakes products contain nuts?

Some of our products contain peanuts, peanut butter and/or pecans, and we do share baking equipment amongst all products.

Does SusieCakes have any sugar-free products?

At this time we do not have any sugar-free baked goods.

Does SusieCakes have any nutritional information?

We have always baked entirely from scratch, using only the freshest and finest real ingredients – butter, eggs, sugar, flour, premium chocolate – which all have a higher caloric content than those made with artificial flavorings, sweeteners and preservatives (which we’d never use!). We are fully committed to not sacrificing size, flavor, or quality ingredients to simply reduce caloric count and are proud to provide only the best tasting products for your special celebrations!

What is the most popular cake from SusieCakes?

The most popular cake is Susie's signature Vanilla Celebration Cake. 6-layers of vanilla cake baked with colorful sugar confetti, filled & frosted with the signature retro-blue buttercream vanilla frosting.

What kind of frosting does SusieCakes use?

Susiecakes is an old-fashioned bakery; we make our buttercream from scratch using real butter. Our buttercream frosting is found on cakes like our Vanilla Celebration Cake and Old-Fashioned Chocolate Cake. We also use a traditional cream cheese frosting on cakes like our Carrot Cake & Southern Red Velvet Cake.

Does SusieCakes sell gender reveal cupcakes or cakes?

We’re baking our signature Vanilla Celebration Gender Reveal cakes! This cake is six layers of delicious confetti vanilla cake that is filled with SusiePink or SusieBlue buttercream. The outside of the cake is frosted with white buttercream and is finished with a rainbow confetti border. We can certainly add a personalized inscription to the cake for you, as well!
 
Getting your cake is simple. Have your friend, family member or doctor select either filling color along with a copy of the receipt! Once received, we will certainly make this change on your order and will keep it a surprise for your special day.

Does SusieCakes sell smash cakes?

YES! SusieCakes sells smash cake that are 4 inches. Smash cakes require a 24-hour notice and can be ordered online.

SusieFavor Rewards

Is there a NEW rewards program?

Yes, on October 16, 2023, we switched loyalty providers to make it easier for Guests to redeem rewards online and in the bakery. With this change guests can now order in the app and earn and redeem points in the app.

I got an email on October 16th from rewards@c.pxsmail.com – was this from you?

Yes, reward emails come from this account.

I was a member of the old loyalty program. How do I join this new one?

Just reset your password using your email address and you should be able to sign in and see any existing rewards or points. Sign in here and click on the link to request a new password or go to the app store, update the app and reset your password there.

I noticed my birthday is not accurate. What should I do because it’s not allowing me to change it.?

The new loyalty program requires a birth year when you sign up for the program and requires that you are 18+ to join. If you did not have a birth year – the year 2000 was assigned. The birth year does not matter for SusieFavors, as long as the loyalty member is 18+. The month is the most important piece because your birthday reward is sent on the first day of your birthday month. If your birth month is incorrect, please contact us here to let us know. If you are under the age of 18 and should not be in our loyalty program, please contact us so we can delete your account.

I am trying to log in, what is my username?

Your username is your email. If you’re wondering which email, it’s the email we sent the password reset email too on October 16th. If you are still having trouble just contact us by sending a message through our website and giving us your name, potential email addresses and phone so we can find the account connected to you.  

My password reset isn’t working?

Check spam. If that doesn’t work just contact us by sending a message through our website and selecting rewards/loyalty so we can reset it for you.

Will my old rewards roll over to the new program?

YES! All existing rewards and points should roll over. If you think there was a mistake just contact us by sending us a message through our website and selecting rewards/loyalty so we can look into it.

Will my old transactions roll over to this new program?

The old program tracked visits and dollars spent but did not have order level details. Unfortunately, that info will not roll over.

I can’t see where to use my rewards online. How can I see use them online?

The easiest way to see them is in the app right on the first screens when you log in. If you don't have the app, there are three ways to sign in on the website. 

  • Upper right-hand corner on the desktop site to log in (once you are on the specific page for the location you are selecting. To get to this page find your location HERE
  • On the mobile site go to the menu (3 lines upper left) and go to “Login” – first find your locations page HERE
  • On first part of the checkout when we ask them for name, email and phone you’ll see a Log in
  • On the last part of checkout when we ask for payment method, we ask you to sign in to apply a reward.

How do I earn points?

First, you must have an account. Sign up through our app store “SusieCakes” or by clicking sign up here.

In Bakery

When you order in-bakery and they ask if you are a rewards member, just give the team member the information they need to find your account. To make the process simple, make sure your account is completed online with your name and phone number so when you visit a bakery and a Team Member asks to look up your account it’s easy. You can also update your profile on the app under Account Settings page once you sign in (found under the tab Edit Account).  

Online

When you order online, sign in to ensure you are earning points although if you are ordering online and using the email address associated with your account you should accrue points as well.

App

When ordering on the app you are already signed in so you will accrue points with each order.

DoorDash & Uber Eats

You do not earn points when you place an order through DoorDash or UberEats.  

What if I forgot to sign in to my account before I checked out? Will points still accrue?

If you did not sign in, but you used the email address associated with your account you should still accrue points when the order is picked up/delivered. If you forgot to give your phone/name/email when you went into the bakery you can take a picture of the receipt send it to us via the contact us page.

Do rewards and points expire?

Points do not expire, but rewards do.

  • $10 off; This reward expires after 30 days.
  • Free slice of cake for their birthday month; This is valid in bakery only (not online) and expires at the end of your birthday month.

The total on my order does not equate to the points I have in my rewards account.

1. It’s possible your points weren’t added yet if your items have not been delivered or picked up. For example, if you made a purchase for $43 for pickup tomorrow at 4pm, you won’t see those points until tomorrow at 4pm. 

2.All points are before tips and taxes. 

Why can’t I change my birthday under my account settings?

Due to fraud, birthdays cannot change. The birth year does not matter for this program. The month is the most important factor because birthday rewards are now sent on the 1st of the month for your birthday month. If your birth month is incorrect, please contact us here so we can adjust it.

I didn’t get my birthday reward, now what?

A free slice of birthday cake is added to your account on the first day of your birth month only for Guests who have purchased in the past 365 days. For example, if you were born May 18 or May 10, you will get the free slice on May 1.This means that if you sign up for SusieFavors during your birthday month, you won't receive the reward until the following year as all rewards are sent out on the 1st of the month. st!

 First, verify you don’t see it by logging into the app and looking at the dashboard (as soon as you log in it’s the first screen!) to see if you see it there. Or, if you’d prefer not to use the app, you can log in online HERE. Once you log in you should see a summary of your account and see the birthday reward right there if you have it.

 Next, confirm under your account that the correct birth month is assigned to your birthday. You cannot change your birthday but if it’s incorrect please contact us here so we can adjust it.

Do I earn points when placing an order through UberEats or DoorDash?

No, you do not. However, if you place a delivery order on SusieCakes.com using DoorDash Delivery or leveraging the SusieCakes app, you do qualify. The reason is that when orders aren’t placed through our site, we don’t receive the guest information and can’t link it to a rewards account.

Do I earn points for orders placed through national shipping?

 No, you do not earn point for national shipped orders as the ordering systems are separate. However, if you send us the receipt by sending us a message HERE we can add points for you. Rewards will not be able to be used on national ship orders.

Ordering & Customization

How far in advance should I order from SusieCakes?

We can usually guarantee most orders same day, however we have several products that require a 24-hour notice. In order to fully guarantee you get the cake you want, we accept orders up to 6 months in advance. Please contact the bakery location directly for details.

If you are ordering for shipping, keep in mind we ship Monday through Thursday for next day air and you can schedule up to 3 months in advance. You can order a cake to be shipped next day when you do so before 9pm ET/6pm PT.

Does SusieCakes deliver?

Yes, we deliver locally (typically within a 5-10 mile radius of our bakeries).

Can I place an order for same-day delivery/pickup?

At most locations you can place same day orders up until 5pm on most days of the year, however, we recommend ordering in advance of major holidays because sometimes same-day orders are not available at those times. In addition, not all products are available for same-day orders.

Does SusieCakes ship nationally?

We currently ship select cakes to the continental United States (sorry Hawaii and Alaska!). Check out our cakes for shipment here and place your order online!

Does SusieCakes Make Custom cakes?

Our Celebration Specialist may be able to work with you on something custom, depending on what you want. Check out our latest cake decoration options here and contact us so we can work with you!

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, and Google Pay for local orders. Shipped orders accept all major credit cards.

What is the best way to place a bulk order?

The easiest way to place a bulk order may be through one of our team members at our Susie Support Center. Please contact us HERE and we will reach out to discuss and place the order for you.

Order Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

What if I want to change or cancel my SusieCakes order?

Please contact us here to make any changes to your order. We will do our best to accommodate any changes, however, if the product has already been prepared, shipped and/or delivered we may not be able to accommodate your request.

For local orders delivered or picked up from our bakeries our policy states to contact us 72 hours prior to the delivery or pickup date.

For national shipment orders, you must contact us 24 hours prior to the shipment date (for example, if you requested a Wednesday arrival of your cake we would be shipping it out on Tuesday and would therefore need to know about the cancellation by 5pm on Monday). If you would like to cancel please contact us with your order number, name, phone number so we can assist you.  Orders cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be eligible for a store credit.

What if I need to update my local order?

Please contact us here to make any changes to your order. If the change is for a same day order we suggest calling the local bakery and we will do our best to accommodate the request but changes on same day requests may not be possible.

What if I want a refund?

At SusieCakes®, we create more meaningful connections by elevating milestones and turning everyday occasions into unforgettable memories; and we do this by baking the best-tasting timeless versions of your most loved desserts.

We know how important those moments are and we feel privileged to be a part of these special times, which is why we guarantee the quality of our desserts upon delivery. This guarantee ensures the dessert should look beautiful (no smashed cakes on Susie’s watch!) and taste amazing (delicious and moist), as long as the serving directions are followed.

We are here to make certain that you and your recipients are 100% satisfied. If a cake, cupcake or cookie we've sent does not live up to these high standards, please contact us

Does SusieCakes donate product?

Our neighborhoods are at the center of our work. Whether we’re donating products to local food banks or women’s shelters, providing cakes for a grade school’s annual “cake walk,” sponsoring the dessert table at a black-tie fundraiser, or collecting items for animal shelters, we have become part of the fabric of our communities. When was SusieCakes founded?

SusieCakes was founded in 2006 by Susan Sarich. The first location opened in Brentwood, CA and today there are over 25 bakeries throughout CA & TX and the company started shipping select cakes nationally in 2022.

Route Insurance

Route's Green Package Protection is a package protection solution that helps cover your order in the event that your order gets lost, stolen, or damaged while in transit while also protecting the planet. We know how frustrating it is to have something happen to your order, so we’ve partnered with Route to offer added assurance that you’re supported, no matter what. Green Package Protection can be added during checkout.

Every time you add Green Package Protection to your order, Route donates to support an agroforestry initiative that removes CO₂ from the air and promotes a flourishing ecosystem.

You can also utilize the Route App to visually track all of your online orders in one place and easily file a claim with their team. Whether you’re tracking via the Route App or online Route’s real-time shipping updates keep you in the loop throughout every part of your delivery

If your Route-protected order ends up lost, damaged, or stolen, Route’s expert support team helps ensure that your order gets replaced or refunded as preferred. Claims will be reviewed for approval within 1-2 business days from filing.

Refunds: When refunding an item, Route covers the subtotal, shipping, and taxes.

In both cases, the Route Premium cost will not be refunded.

Reorders: Route will reorder the items, depending on in-stock availability. Unavailable items will be refunded. Route will cover the cost of any reorders including shipping, taxes, and Route Shipping Protection

Marked As Delivered (Stolen)

Claims will be reviewed no earlier than 5 calendar days and no later than 15 calendar days from when it was marked delivered
Please note, some order issues may require a police report to be filed

Stuck In Transit (Lost)

For domestic orders, claims will be reviewed no earlier than 2 calendar days and no later than 30 calendar days from the last update. The maximum filing time is 60 days from the order date
For international orders, claims will be reviewed no earlier than 20 calendar days and no later than 30 calendar days from the last update. The maximum filing time is 60 days from the order date

Damaged

Claims for damaged items require photos of the packaging and item(s) and must be filed no later than 15 calendar days from when it was marked delivered.
