Chocolate SusieCakes is what we always have on the table for our kids’ birthdays. When a birthday is coming up, we discuss how to decorate the cake, and we don’t even talk about what kind of cake it would be, because by default it’s the chocolate Susie cake - my kids don’t even want to consider any other cake. We eat it soft during the birthday celebration, and then kids eat the cake leftovers the next day cold right from the fridge because they cannot really wait till it softens.
