  My son's baseball coach told me to try SusieCakes, I tried the lemon and I have never had a lemon cake as good as the one I had at SusieCakes. I will definitely be back!

  My grandmother's birthday was around the corner and she loves lemon so we bought her a Susie's Lemon cake - that was 5 years ago - and every time someone asks me what cake I want, I say this cake. I don't love lemon, I don't crave anything else lemon, but this cake is so perfectly balanced. The tartness of the lemon balances the sweetness of the frosting perfectly. It's so good. The only down side is, it's seasonal and my birthday is in December. Without fail, every year I end up buying some cake in the summer, and they have it. And I make a comment about how I wish they had it for my birthday. And every time they tell me I can "have one custom made" and every year I call in December and they say they can't do it, because it's not in season. So my complaint is literally that I can't have it for my birthday. I don't even like cake. Anyways, it's delicious.

  Long time customer, first time reviewer. On the recommendation of a friend, I tried the Lemon Cake. My only regret is waiting this long. The cake is moist (as always), the lemon curd is fresh and perfectly tangy. The yellow sanding sugar on the buttercream icing provides the perfect addition of color, texture and sweetness to complement the curd. If you hesitate to order cake with a fruit in its name, this is your path to culinary freedom. It is terrific.

  We loved this cake - the layers of vanilla cake with zesty lemon curd were delicious! The crunchy sugar in the buttercream keeps me from giving this 5 stars. It was off-putting to have an unexpected crunch in the otherwise delicious buttercream.

  Packaging was neat, retro & attractive. And the cake is perfect in every way. Moist cake, tart curd, sweet buttercream frosting with the slightest sugary crust. The lemon taste is fresh and delicious. This is how cake should be.

  I got a slice of this cake for my birthday. It was so sweet and lemony - I was pleasantly surprised by how prevalent the lemon flavoring was. It tasted fresh and was well frosted. Overall very amazing cake
