Great customer service. I ordered a lemon cake being a friend's favorite flavor. Wasn't sure how much I would like it. OMG, IT WAS A HIT!! So delicious the cake was moist, fluffy and the frosting was good. I've become a fan of lemon cake.

When I saw this cake had less than a perfect rating, I had to chime in. As a lover of lemon desserts- this cake is not to be missed. I tasted it on a trip to L.A. and haven’t been the same since!!! Now that you ship it - I’m a new woman. If only you’d open a bakery in Chicago…..

If this cake was sold at restaurant it would be sold out all the time. Real lemon flavor in the curd without being too sweet. Large slices are perfect for sharing. Two ? ?

This is our favorite cake period! The mix of the crunch from the graduated sugar and the creamy frosting is bomb! The sweetness of the frosting is balanced by the tart lemon curd. All of the above is layered between the moist deliciousness of Susie's cake. Kammi, you have no idea what you're talking about.

I didn't think I would be a fan of lemon but I tried a slice and was hooked. It's the best buttercream ever and the crunch just adds some extra texture. Would highly suggest you try a slice because it's now my #1 cake flavor (although I also love Red Velvet and marble!!)

This cake is described as "four layers of vanilla cake filled with fresh lemon curd, frosted with vanilla buttercream," and those ingredients were indeed "luscious. What was overkill was the granulated sugar on the exterior. I'm not sure why you don't mention it in your description, but everyone at our table scraped the icing off and ate only the cake and curd. It really wrecked an otherwise delicious cake.

Horrible. Too sweet. Crunchy sugar completely covering broken buttercream. Tough sponge. Curd tasted storebought. Not true, fresh lemon flavor. Next day cake was hard as a rock and buttercream tasted old. First got hit of butter, then came flavor of old confectioners sugar. Beyond disappointed SusieCakes Response: Dear Kammi, We are so sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the lemon cake and we'd like to make it right. This cake is absolutely delicious. The lemon curd filling is bright and lemony, the cake is dense and moist and the buttercream delicious. The yellow sugar sprinkled on the buttercream puts it over the top.
